GK First Aid Training now offer the Principles of Risk Assessment to all Industry sectors in response to the demand for better safety in the workplace.

London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Hull (PRWEB UK)

A risk assessment is an important step in protecting your workers and your business, as well as complying with the law. It helps you focus on the risks that really matter in your workplace – the ones with the potential to cause harm. In many instances, straightforward measures can readily control risks, for example, ensuring spillages are cleaned up promptly so people do not slip or cupboard drawers kept closed to ensure people do not trip. For most, that means simple, cheap and effective measures to ensure your most valuable asset – your workforce – is protected.

The law does not expect you to eliminate all risk, but you are required to protect people as far as is ‘reasonably practicable’.

GK First Aid Training have delivered a number of Courses on Risk Assessment in the workplace and have identified that a more in detail course would be required for those who have a greater degree of responsibility with identifying the risks in the workplace.

The level 2 award in the principles of risk assessment could be suitable for individuals who have a direct responsibility for drawing up risk assessments, managers who oversee the risk assessment process or anybody who contributes to the risk assessment process in the workplace. It was initially aimed at providing all staff, whether they are involved in the risk assessment process or not, to become risk aware in their workplace.
