Square D I-LINE/ Federal Pacific Cirucit Breaker Lockout

Panduit Corp., Tinley Park, IL, has announced the introduction of a new Circuit Breaker Lockout Device specially designed for use with Square D I-LINE* and equivalent breaker brands and styles as well as Federal Pacific (FPE) circuit breakers. According to Panduit, the device gives users the ability to secure an individual circuit breaker switch in the "off" position without locking out the entire panel.

The device, Panduit Part No. PSL-CBIL, features rugged nylon construction for strength and durability. It is compact and lightweight and can be easily attached with no modifications to the panel or circuit breaker being disabled.

Installation of the Lockout Device is a simple process involving only a few easy steps: Turning the circuit breaker switch to the "off" position, placing the lockout device over the switch, tightening the device's set screw with a standard screwdriver, and securing and identifying the device with a padlock and tag available from Panduit. The shroud over the device's set screw prevents tampering with the device during lockout procedures.

The Panduit PSL-CBIL Circuit Breaker Lockout Device is one of a full line of Panduit products designed to prevent needless deaths and injuries by facilitating Lockout/Tagout procedures mandated by OSHA Standard 29CFR1910.147.
