Learning Objectives
This electrical safety course is based on the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and will assist employers in meeting the safety training requirements required in 29 CFR 1910.332 for employees who are electrically qualified and electrically unqualified.

Upon completion of this course the electrically unqualified participants should be able to:

  • Identify correct cord and plug equipment usage
  • Recognize electrically hazardous conditions
  • Identify Limited Approach shock protection boundary
  • Understand purpose for Arc Flash Boundary

The electrically qualified participants should be able to do all the above plus the following:

  • Describe the generally recognized hazards of electrical work
  • Establish shock protection boundaries based on known nominal voltage
  • Use correct personal protective equipment within shock and arc boundaries
  • Select correct electrical safe work procedures
  • Identify safe maintenance requirements

Who Should Attend
This information-packed course is a must for all personnel working around voltages of 50 volts or more including: supervisors, engineers, inspectors, safety professionals, construction workers and maintenance personnel.
